The errors#

The bot cluster for this server is not responding. Try again shortly.

The bot took too long to respond. Try again.

Why it happens#

The dashboard saves your settings to a database, but live actions (posting a message, adding reactions, drawing a winner) are carried out by the bot itself. When the bot piece serving your server is restarting, usually for an update, those live actions briefly fail while everything else keeps working.

The fix#

Wait a minute and press the button again. Restarts are short. Your settings are not lost: anything that says "Saved, but..." has been saved and only the Discord side needs the retry.

If it lasts more than a few minutes, check status.zira.bot or ask in the support server (linked from /help and the site footer).

Was my change lost?#

No. Configuration saves and live Discord actions are separate steps. If saving worked and only the Discord update failed, redoing the action after the bot returns finishes the job.
